About Us

Hi, I’m Charlie 👋

I’ve spent over 12 years in entrepreneurship and 8 years in education & ed-tech. Over that time, I’ve delivered hundreds of hours of camps and workshops. As a mother, I’m deeply passionate about changing the way we educate children — for me, it’s about helping kids become confident, curious, and resilient, and most importantly able to thrive in a rapidly changing, AI-first world.

I started The Startup Playground because I want to give kids a safe space to explore technology and entrepreneurship, while equipping them with the skills that will matter most in the future. But, it’s more than that, I want to help tackle the children’s mental health crisis which has been impacted by technology & social media. Using #techforgood, I aim to help kids build positive relationships with technology, while fostering emotional intelligence, teamwork, and self-belief.

Our mission is to give kids a safe, inspiring space to explore AI, technology, and entrepreneurship, while building the skills that will matter most in their future.

“Entrepreneurship education equips children with the skills, mindset, and confidence to turn ideas into action, and helps them understand that they can shape their own future.”
